Member Query – UK Corporate Governance Code
In this member query, a member asked whether PARC members could outline their expected responses, in relation to the 2018 UK Corporate Governance Code, to the new provisions in respect of:
1. Any new developments or changes to existing provisions with regard to “engagement with the workforce” - or “creating a culture that aligns company values with strategy”.
2. Any new NED appointments (or changed roles) to head up “employee engagement” and “culture” - (Please provide details of the duties and activities ascribed to any such role).
3. Any other actions or appointments in response to the new code (e.g. appointed advisors to assist in full understanding of the requirements of the new code).
