PARC Summary: Employee Pension Provision: Today & Tomorrow – November 2011
Kevin Abbott opened the meeting by admitting that many of us suffer from "pensions fatigue". Much has been written around the subject and a considerable amount of that seems negative: the falling birth rate, the decline in defined benefit pensions plans, the number of small company employees not enrolled in a pension plan, the proportion of people not understanding or engaged in the need to save for retirement. So, aside for providing a summary of the most useful views and findings, PARC was keen to see whether there were positive elements and practical things that HR and reward directors could actually do.
