Job Grading Structures for Management & Senior Management Levels

A member is seeking information about job grading at management and senior management level. They are interested in who is using a structured approach to this and whether it is single or broadbands. This includes job evaluation systems and which ones are being commonly used.

  1. Job evaluation system? At Management / Senior management levels do you use?
  2. Do you operate a ‘Broadbanding’ approach or use ‘single grade’ in communication to individuals about their job level?
  3. If you operate a broadband approach, and use Towers Watson grading or Hay, how wide are the Bands?
  4. If you have Broadbands, how are salaries managed within the band?
