How Culture Impacts Attitudes to Risk with Prof. Anette Mikes
On 8th July 2020, PARC members gathered for How Culture Impacts Attitudes to Risk, a Zoom Interactive Event. Professor Anette Mikes from the Oxford Saïd Business School led the discussion with insights into attitudes and the nature of risks people are prepared to take varying between national and organisational cultures. With such competing cultural values, how should leaders create and manage consensus? Anette’s current research focuses on the interface between risk management, business ethics and management control. In this session she provides insight into the implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for the way we manage risk in business, what has changed, what might change back and what might never be the same again.
