Michael White

Michael White, who grew up in Cornwall, is assistant editor (politics) of the Guardian for which he and has been writing for more than 30 years, as a reporter, foreign correspondent and columnist. He was the paper's political editor from 1990-2006, having previously been Washington correspondent (1984-88) and parliamentary sketchwriter (1977-84). He is married with three sons and two grandchildren. He lives in west London, halfway between the BBC Television Centre and BSkyB.
