Peter Norbury
Fiona is a partner in Evershed's employment group. She undertakes a full range of contentious, non-contentious and transactional employment work including: employment contracts and bonus arrangements; complex internal grievances, investigations and disciplinaries; TUPE issues; and individual and collective redundancies.
Fiona also acts for both companies and senior executives on recruitment and termination, in particular for listed companies and financial services sector clients.
Fiona has particular experience in acting for clients in High Court claims in relation to restrictive covenants and team moves, and in high value employment tribunal claims, such as whistleblowing and discrimination claims. She also acts for clients in multi-jurisdictional litigation matters, and acted for the employer in one of the leading employment cases on jurisdictional issues, Samengo-Turner v Marsh & McLennan.
Fiona has written and lectured on a range of employment law issues, including cross-border restrictive covenant issues and bonus and remuneration issues.
Fiona is listed as a leading individual in employment law in the Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession. She has recently been elected to the Management Committee of the Employment Lawyers Association (ELA) and serves on the Diversity Working Party of the City HR Association, which is currently addressing issues surrounding diversity in the City, including pay transparency and reporting.
