Patricia Hewitt
Rt Hon Patricia Hewitt served in Tony Blair's government for nearly ten years, as Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Cabinet Minister for Women and Secretary of State for Health. She introduced the 'right to request' flexible working hours amd paid paternity leave; 'say on pay' legislation, giving share-holders an annual vote on the remuneration report; and England's smoking ban. She is now chair of the UK India Business Council (UKIB), senior independent director of BT plc, a non-executive director of Eurotunnel Group, and a member of Barclays Asia Pacific Advisory Committee and the government's Asia Task Force.
