Equal Pay - still minding the gender pay gap?

The gender pay gap is currently a hot topic in the UK. All political parties have sought to improve the situation, in part by wanting companies to be more transparent in their reporting.

This discussion paper aims to summarise the main components of pay reporting. It looks at where gender pay gaps exist, and how the UK sits alongside global and EU comparators. Various challenges around reporting, together with unintended consequences, have also been identified.
