Anthony Hilton

Anthony is a highly-respected business author, broadcaster and journalist. He is currently City Editor of the Evening Standard and was previously Managing Director of the newspaper and City Editor of The Times. He has worked for the Observer, the Daily Mail and the Sunday Express and has also served in New York where, for three years, he was Business Correspondent for the Sunday Times.

He has an MA (Hons) degree in Economics from Aberdeen University and has written two highly-acclaimed books – How to Communicate Financial Information to Employees and City within a State about the inner workings of the City of London.

In 2006, he won the Decade of Excellence Award, the most prestigious award in business and financial journalism given annually by the World Press Awards offshoot of the World Economic Forum – in competition with a shortlist of writers from Fortune, and the Wall Street Journal, as well as British and European titles. He was also named UK Pensions Journalist of the Year by Aon and was judged runner up as financial journalist of the year by the Institute of Internal Auditors.

In previous years, he has won most of his industry's awards including the European Business Writer of the Year and the Wincott Business Journalist of the Year.
