A look back over the year's events and a chance to look ahead to 2009.
This year's Keynote Speaker is Will Hutton, Chief Executive of The Work Foundation, who will share with us his incisive and wide-ranging perspectives on the economic and political environments in which organisations now find themselves operating, along with some longer-term insights into what 2009 might bring.
Will has written a weekly column for more than 15 years: six at the Guardian and nine at the Observer. In addition, he has made a number of radio and television series for the BBC including various Panorama programmes. His day job for the last six years has been a chief executive of the Work Foundation, an independent, not for dividend, research=based consultancy that is one of hte most influential voices on work, workplace and employment issues in Britain. Will has written several best selling economic books, including his last book on China and the West, "Writing on the Wall," which was published in January 2007. In addition, he won the Political Journalist of the Year Award in 1993.
